What is a Survivor Car?
A Survivor car can be any model or make of vehicle. Anything from a Falcon GT, Monaro GTS, Datsun 180B, Jaguar Mark II, Toyota Corolla KE10 or Leyland P76 are all included as long as they meet the Survivor car criteria. Vehicle's must be Australian manufactured-assembled or delivered vehicles that are at least 25 years old that have survived almost intact, without any significant modifications or repairs to be eligible. Some privately imported cars are eligible providing that they meet all five criteria. Originality is king when it comes to Survivors so they should mostly still have their original paint work, interior and engine. They should also be driveable and safe for road use. Period correct aftermarket additions are acceptable such as 1970s ‘Dragway’ rims on a HQ Holden or an XB Ford as an example.
