Early Monaros are as loved as free beer at a BBQ, and this unrestored HK Monaro GTS coupe is no exception. The clean lines on this baby haven’t aged one bit and are complemented by the Ermine White duco. She’s still wearing the original rego plate and is powered by a 307cid Chev donk.

Although the XA Falcons in Kiwi land were CKD kits, the XA GTs were exported as complete vehicles straight from the Broadmeadows assembly plant, ready to hit the streets! Due to the very wet climate over there, and the XA’s love of rust, not many base model XAs are still around, let alone the GT variants. However, here is an Elite Survivor XA GT in exceptional original condition with a ridiculous 37,000 miles!

The VG Pacer was a facelift on the VF Pacer, but it did come with one significant difference, the new Hemi-Six engine and a noticeable difference in power. It’s not often we hear about a Barn-Find Pacer, and this one is a real dust covered treasure.

In 1974, Bill Johnson had just retired and was looking for a good used vehicle to treat himself with. After some searching he was talked into buying a demonstrator Toyota Crown and he didn’t regret it. He used it for many years, took great care of it and this is evident when you take one look at it. The current owner is busy enjoying it and plans just to keep the Crown looking as it does now.

The penny has dropped with Future Survivors and many are now on the hunt for these emerging cars. One such example is the 1995 Mazda RX7 SP. These RX7 variants were built to homologate the cars for the 1995 Eastern Creek 12-Hour race (part of the Australian GT Production Car Series). They were powerful, fast, light and had a perfect 50-50 weight distribution. This SP is the perfect example of what type of Future Survivor to look for.

This is another jam-packed issue of nostalgia, so wherever you are, home or on holidays, hang the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign up, relax and enjoy.
