CHICKEN COUPE

Kicking off Issue 30 is an XA GT hardtop trapped inside a chicken coop. Many have heard about this car, now you can read the full story for yourself! This rare MacRoberton’s Old Gold coloured GT is loaded with options, but the best part is she’s a genuine RPO83! It’s one of the limited production GTs that escaped out the back door with some GTHO Phase IV bits. Up next is a beautiful Venetian Red VH Commodore SL/E, which when first released was every young man’s dream. This ripper is optioned with the 4.2 litre V8 and is showing just 121,602 kilometres.

From across the ditch, is a worn in, but certainly not worn out, Valiant VG Hemi Pacer. This Pacer is a dashing example flanked with the hockey style stripe, and showing some hard earned miles, it’s fitted with a rarer than usual red trim.

And now for something different, we have a mint Rover P6B which is one of the last assembled CKD kits assembled in New Zealand. She’s fitted with the Buick 3.5 litre V8 which was capable of doing the quarter mile in 17 seconds, just half a second slower than an Ford XA Fairmont 351! For a little different, if not quirky Barn Find, how about an Austin A30 bought new back in 1953 and used as a daily hack. It’s been sitting in the shed for 25 years, housing a family of mice until it was finally discovered by a Car Hunter, with the plan to resurrect it and get it back on the road.

From our Future Survivor segment, we have an excellent 1997 Ford EL Falcon GT, which may well be one of the best Grand Tourers ever designed and built! Okay, it’s time to lock yourself away and get stuck into another ripper issue of Survivor Car, enjoy!

Oh, and don’t forget to email us a photo of you washing your classic car – send them to me at Editor@SurvivorCarAustralia.com.au or post them on our Facebook page.
