Long thought lost, the original Bullitt Mustang has been missing in action for near on five decades, but thankfully it had been safely hidden away from the world until now.

We have the exclusive story, as our photographer chases it around the streets of San Francisco – just like the movie car chase, passing by many locations where the original movie was filmed.

Not too many Valiant VH hardtops have survived but we’ve found an outstanding example in this Hemi Orange hero, which is factory fitted with the Fireball 318cid V8!

A top of the line Regal 770, this luxury land yacht has a known history with lots of old photos showing how it survived.

Back in the day, luxury Holden meant Brougham and here we feature a Warrigal Black HG Brougham which was a special order, and came factory fitted with the fluted GTS Monaro bonnet and gold pinstripe! It was walked down the production line by the original owner’s uncle who worked at Holden, to ensure it received special treatment. It was then only driven to church on Sundays!

Just how this Falcon 500 factory-fitted with the 351cid K code V8, a 4-speed floorshift, and finished in stunning Vermilion Fire, escaped becoming a GT is a miracle and we describe how this happened.

The humble Datsun was a popular car in its day, and we can all remember a time when everyone’s nanna drove a Datto 180B, either finished in Gympie Gold (orange) or Huon Green like our featured Survivor, which was found in a shed covered in dust after 12 years of slumber. Nicknamed ‘Dottie’, this Datsun is showing just 71,538 original kms and was owned by a 94-year-old lady.

It’s time to get stuck in your favourite car magazine of all time, and you may as well start by immersing yourself in the exclusive Bullitt mega feature! Until the next issue, enjoy!
