HEMI RACER – INTO THE LIMELIGHT

Kicking off Issue 25 is a Limelight coloured VH Pacer with less than 45,000 original miles. Just 1,631 VH Pacers were built and of these, only 17 were made in this vivid 1970s hue.

For the Ford fans, we have a Survivor 1969 Falcon GT-HO finished in Grecian Gold. Just 260 Windsor HOs (or Phase 1s as they came to be known) were built. Also from Ford, we showcase a 1970 Cortina MkII GT which is the apple of the owner’s eye. Just 1,449 Cortina GTs were built, and of these, only 42 were made with the 1600cc GT spec 4-speed drivetrain in Candy Apple Red. This one has done some hard yards but it’s still used as a daily commuter!

Holden fans will love the Survivor Brock, a stunning VC Commodore. This one is build 422/500, showing around 96,000 kilometres and has never seen rain! In our International Survivor segment, we feature an amazing LJ ‘Bathurst’ Torana GTR XU-1 that was shipped new to New Zealand. It’s been owned and cared for by the same owner for the last 43 years.

Also for the Chrysler-philes, we feature a graveyard with an impressive array of Mopar muscle which has been laying around for decades quietly accumulating patina! Can some of these be saved? You be the judge.
