Issue #21
Issue #21
Our main feature is Sleeping Beauties, and that’s exactly what our roving car hunter, Ross Vasse, discovered when he rattled some chains. Side by side, in hibernation, are two hamburgers with the lot, a HJ Premier and an XC Fairmont GXL, both with factory sunroofs!
Often mocked back in the day, the John Goss Special has now become a highly sought after icon, and we have what is probably the best Survivor in Oz, Day Two mods and all! And in yet another Survivor Car Australia first, we also announce for the first time the quantity of John Goss Specials built, how many were made in each colour, and how many of these were manuals and autos (thanks Shazza!)
From the Holden stable we have a HQ Monaro GTS coupe that’s been in the family since almost day one, as well as a HQ Statesman De Ville that still oozes plenty of class.
The Leyland Mini S was quite the pocket rocket in its day and in this issue we look at a beautiful example in the very 1970s hue called ‘Home On Th’ Orange’.
For Mopar fans we have a fantastic CL Charger with all the funky 1970s decals and groovy interior.
To round things up, we take you to see the Peak Hill Wrecks, once a common feature of Australian landscapes, places like this are now few and far between.
Find your favourite hiding spot, get comfy and kick back with another ‘bonza’ issue.
