Our main feature this issue is a humble 250/2V six-cylinder, 4-speed Wild Violet XA GS Hardtop Survivor that was recently sold by the first owner for a record price. This car has certainly raised the bar for Survivor cars. Staying with the colour Wild Violet, in issue No 7 we featured Steve Eatwell’s old Wild Violet XA GT which he regrettably sold in 1979. Recently, a keen eyed reader identified the car and he was briefly reunited with his old GT thanks to the current owner Peter. 

For Mopar fans we have a superb VJ Charger Sportsman owned by comedian Tim Smith. From the GM-H stable we have a stunning Brock VH SS Group 3 and a HQ station wagon which have both survived in amazing condition. Also from the 1980s we’ve found a low mile Fairmont XE ESP fitted with the last of the Aussie built V8s and a 4-speed manual to boot!
