Issue #42

A$14.95

Kicking off this issue is an amazing Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III. It’s an iconic vehicle with a reputation second to none and the one featured has a very special story. It was destined for Bathurst before a feisty Scotsman intervened and demanded it was sold to him instead!

Continuing on with the Phase III theme is a super special treat from none other than the legend himself, Mel Nichols. He recounts that memorable and iconic ‘HO down the Hume’ trip.

For something a little different, how about a 1977 Honda Accord coupe that was fitted with air-conditioning, not a cheap option back then.

From the Holden stable we have a truly beautiful HZ GTS complete with groovy cloth trim inserts.

Next up, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Charger with a lovely VH Charger R/T E38 in that vibrant colour of Vitamin C, and it has a surprising link to Bathurst.

Our Future Survivor, purchased new by its current owner, is a stunning Vixen Red FPV BA GT with just 17,400 kilometres.

This issue’s International Survivor is a pristine Champagne Gold 1970 Chevelle SS that was tucked away out of the nasty weather for all of its life.

To commemorate 50 years of Bathurst, we have a special feature with some beautiful photographs from the 1971 Great Race.

We’re sure you’ll agree that this issue is crammed full of amazing Survivors. Once you’ve finished reading this cracker issue, join the conversation online at our Facebook page and tell us which story was your favourite!
